I love a good glimmer! Glimmers are those little moments in your everyday life that bring you bursts of joy and simple excitement. It seems like I’ve had a lot lately, which is no surprise as I LOVE winter and all things festive.
So, I thought I would share this lighthearted post and tell you all about some of my recent glimmers as the winter rolls in…
I love those early mornings that are crisp, fresh, frosty, full of new colours and completely calm your soul and make you think of all the little creatures running around the countryside, back to their cosy homes. Just me? Anyway, it means boots are back and so are cosy scarves, and that makes me very excited!
I love a glass of red, but I’m definitely more of a white wine drinker during the summer months. I had my first glass of red in ages recently, and it really just hit the spot… perfect for cosying up with I’m A Celeb! This was definitely a glimmer moment.
I am absolutely painful when going into shops at the moment. All the Christmas decor, I need it. All of it. Every single little thing has to be mine. And I won’t be stopping anytime soon because I just love Christmas decorations and having the tree up! I always have loved coloured lights, but this year more than ever I feel the need to go back to the days of older, nostalgic, colour-filled Christmas. I think that’s when it feels like Christmas for me, when I embrace good old tacky Christmas and can truly absorb that sense of fun and Christmas chaos.
I’m really finding peace within crafts and making things. It’s therapeutic and I love finding new ideas on TikTok that I actually try out, rather than just saving them for a later day that never comes.
So far it’s been wreaths, Christmas treat bags for the doggos, and filling this bauble with my Eras Tour memories…
Even if they’re not perfect, making them is always a glimmer.
Being in this little snug in Killarney was one of those moments you just want to bottle up forever. I was having a cosy drink, getting lost within conversation with my boyfriend, time was our own and we could just be. We all need moments like this sometimes, to be fully present and feel that sense of peace.
Dad, if you’re reading this, can we please build one of these in the house before Christmas arrives? And by we I obviously mean you…
